Varsity Head Coach: Randi Moore
This is Coach Moore's fifth year as the Lady Red Elephant's Head Volleyball Coach....Go Big Red!! Coach Moore's first year as head coach during the 2011/12 season was certainly a remarkable one. She was named the 3AAA Coach of the Year and the Gainesville Times Coach of the Year. Prior to taking over the program, the Lady Elephants had a 4 game winning streak. Coach Moore served as their Junior Varsity Coach during the 2010/11 season, ran the Gainesville Parks and Recreation Volleyball summer camp in 2009, and was the assistant volleyball coach at Gainesville Middle school in 2008. Coach Moore originally from Salisbury, Maryland moved to Gainesville after graduating from high school to attend Brenau University where she received a volleyball and leadership scholarship. While playing volleyball for the Golden Tigers, she was a stand out starting player all four years and was the team captain for one year. Coach Moore also had the opportunity to assist in coaching the Brenau Golden Tigers before graduating. Along with her many volleyball accomplishments, Coach Moore served as her social chairman, philthanthropic chairman, and president of her sorority; Delta Delta Delta. And in 2007 she was the Brenau May Day Princess. Coach Moore is currently teaching second grade at Centennial Arts Academy and a member of the Gainesville-Hall County Junior League. Coach Moore has a beautiful 5 year old daughter, Harper, is married to Kirklan Moore, also a Red Elephant Coach, and just gave birth to a son, Hayden! They couldn't be more excited!
Assistant Varsity Coach: Randy Roys
Junior Varsity Head Coach: Julie Black Oliver
This is Coach Oliver's fifth year as the Lady Red Elephants Junior Varsity Coach. The Gainesville Junior Varsity team were the 2014 Region Tournament Champs and ended the season with NO loses in their region! Coach Oliver has coached and lead Gainesville Park and Recreation camps many summers. Coach Oliver is a Gainesville, Georgia native where she attended North Hall High School and played on their varsity volleyball, softball, and tennis team. From there Coach Oliver attended West Georgia University where she played intramural volleyball, tennis, softball, and basketball. She later graduated with a B.A. in Art with concentrations in Graphic Design and Ceramics. Coach Oliver then attended North Georgia College and State University, where she graduated with a degree in Art Education. Because of her love for volleyball through middle and high school, she knew coaching was what she always wanted to do. Coach Oliver is currently teaching art at Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy. Outside of work and volleyball, Coach Oliver enjoys spending time with her husband Dustin Oliver who is a firefighter for the Gainesville Fire Dept, their 5 year old son Tug and their 3 year old daughter Catie Rell......GO BIG RED!!!
Assistant Junior Varsity Coach: Sarah Almand
This is Coach Almand's fifth year as the Lady Red Elephants Assistant Junior Varsity. Coach Almand played high school volleyball all 4 years at North Hall, with 3 of those years on the varsity team, as well as JV soccer for 2 years. After high school, she attended Berry College for 2 years, then transferred to and finished her B.A. in Mathematics and Secondary Education at North Georgia College & State University. Coach Almand currently teaches math at the 9th Grade Center in our own Gainesville High School, and in her spare time, Coach Almand enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is so thankful for the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group of girls and coaching staff, and looks forward to the years ahead as a RED ELEPHANT!!! She and her husband, Matt Almand, just recently married last November!
